They’re a well-funded startup building an AI-powered hiring platform that helps companies connect with the right talent faster. They’ve raised $3M in pre-seed funding from top U.S. investors and have 40,000+ users worldwide. Their AI handles matching, initial vetting, and warm introductions, so hiring teams spend less time sourcing and more time interviewing and closing strong candidates.

👀About the role

They’re looking for their first LATAM Recruiter to support U.S.-based searches. You’ll use their AI platform to automate much of the manual work, while acting as a true partner to clients—owning full-cycle searches, advising hiring managers, and driving strong hiring decisions.

This is a high-ownership role at a fast-moving startup for someone who’s comfortable operating independently, pushing back when needed, and making strong calls on talent. You’ll run full searches, earn high-ticket commissions, and use AI to scale your output.

👉 Responsabilities

  • Own end-to-end hiring for U.S. roles, using the AI platform.
  • Evaluate AI-recommended candidates and quickly surface the most relevant profiles.
  • Screen and assess candidates, then share focused, high-quality shortlists with hiring teams.
  • Join client conversations to align on needs, scope roles, and offer practical hiring advice.
  • Build real partnerships with clients, including pushing back on vague or unrealistic requests.
  • Share clear, actionable feedback with the product/engineering team to improve matching and workflows on the platform.

👉 Requirements

  • 3+ years recruiting for U.S. clients or U.S.-based roles. 
  • Proven experience in fast-paced environments, such as startups or high volume agencies.
  • Strong client-facing presence: clear communication, expectation management, and relationship-building. 
  • Excellent English, written and spoken. 
  • High comfort with tools, ATS, and AI-driven workflows. 
  • Sharp judgment on skills, experience, and culture add.
  • High ownership, reliability, and the ability to move fast without hand-holding.

🌍 Time Zone

  • Schedule: Flexible, some overlap with PST required.

  • Intro call with the kala team 💜 (30 min) – Context on the company and role, and a chance to learn more about your background.
  • First interview with the Team (30 min) – Deep dive into the role, workflow, and expectations.
  • Final interview with the leadership team( 30 min).

Full-time contractor role, Candidates in LATAM will be hired as independent contractors (direct contract with the company) and paid in USD, this role includes:

Note: This is an outcome-driven role. The team is looking for someone who is motivated to pursue high commission earnings and excited about joining an early-stage startup and growing with it. The roles are there to work on, so the more you take on, the more commissions you earn.
