Faced with the challenge of growing their team across both technical and commercial roles, we worked side by side to define what the right fit would look like. 🚀 ​The Challenge

4V Services needed to expand their team with both technical and non-technical roles: first a Fullstack Developer, then a UI Lead, and later a Sales Representative (BDR).

Because of their specific and niche technology stack, the priority wasn’t finding someone who already knew it, but someone who could adapt and learn it quickly, since this tech is at the core of their business. The challenge was balancing technical ability with openness to learn and align with their growth plans.

When hiring the BDR, the question was whether to bring in an agency or hire internally. After weighing the impact, they chose to hire internally knowing it might take longer to ramp up, but that in the medium and long term, this strategy would give them stronger alignment, ownership, and results.

🚀 ​The Solution

We designed the process with the tech stack as a foundation, but not the only factor. We focused on two things:

  • Background in similar companies → candidates who had worked in consultancies or with enterprise data solutions. This made their ramp-up faster and integration smoother.
  • Expectations alignment → instead of only asking what stack they already knew, we explored what they wanted to learn, the challenges they were looking for, and how they envisioned growing with the technical stack and projects at 4V.

For the BDR, we targeted candidates with full-cycle sales experience who had the personality and drive to not only generate leads, but also build processes, bring solutions, and take initiative
