About the role
They are looking for a Founding Engineer to join their team as one of the first technical hires.
This is a highly hands-on role where you’ll build core product features across the entire stack, influence technical architecture, and help establish engineering best practices as the company scales. You’ll work directly with the founders, turning product ideas into production-ready features while helping define the technical direction of the platform.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys startup environments, thrives with autonomy, and wants meaningful ownership over both product and engineering decisions.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain full-stack product features using TypeScript, React, and Node.js.
- Collaborate directly with founders to define product requirements and technical solutions.
- Design scalable APIs, backend services, and frontend applications.
- Integrate AI models, third-party APIs, and external data sources into the platform.
- Optimize application performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.
- Participate in technical architecture and infrastructure decisions.
- Help establish engineering standards, development workflows, and deployment processes.
- Continuously improve the user experience based on customer feedback.
- Contribute to hiring and growing the engineering team over time.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience as a Full Stack or Software Engineer.
- Strong professional experience with TypeScript, Node.js, and React.
- Experience building and shipping SaaS products from concept to production.
- Solid understanding of REST APIs, databases, and modern web architecture.
- Experience working in startup or fast-paced product environments.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS).
- Experience integrating AI APIs or LLM-powered applications is a strong plus.
- Strong product mindset with the ability to balance speed and quality.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work directly with founders.
- Located in Colombia.
- Professional English proficiency.
