The Business Development Representative (BDR) plays a critical role in generating new business opportunities. The primary responsibility is to identify potential clients, conduct outreach via phone and email, and schedule meetings between qualified prospects and the company’s CTO, who leads sales efforts. This role is essential in expanding client base and later broadening to new markets with a need for intelligent search and data management solutions. đź’ś Responsibilities

  • Conduct research to identify potential prospects within targeted industries
  • Manage outbound outreach efforts via phone, email, and LinkedIn
  • Qualify leads and schedule discovery meetings with the CTO
  • Maintain detailed records of outreach activity and prospect engagement in the CRM
  • Collaborate with leadership to refine messaging and improve outreach strategies
  • Stay informed on industry trends related to data management and enterprise search
  • Provide feedback on prospect responses, challenges, and opportunities to optimize sales efforts

👉 Requirements

  • 2-4 years of experience in a sales, business development, or lead generation role preferably in B2B technology or software services
  • Near Native English Level and experience working with the United States market are a must!🔺
  • Strong communication skills and solid experience particularly in cold outreach is required (phone, email, LinkedIn)
  • Experience working in start-ups or with small teams
  • Ability to learn and articulate technical concepts at a business level
  • Self-motivated with a proactive attitude and resilience in handling objections
  • Familiarity with CRM tools for tracking outreach and managing pipelines
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, technology, marketing, communications, or related field (preferred but not required)

â–¶Short-term Expectations (0-3 months)
• Learn company core offerings, including contract software development, specific data products and packaged services.
• Develop a business-level understanding of data and technical products such as MarkLogic, Semaphore, and Apache NiFi • Build and refine prospect lists and conduct outreach through phone calls and emails, securing meetings that meets or exceeds expectations

â–¶ Medium-term Expectations (3-12 months)
• Expand and refine outreach strategies based on feedback and results.
• Develop more personalized and tailored strategies based on prospect pain points and industry needs achieving quotas for qualified meetings set per month

â–¶ Long-term Expectations (+12 months)
• Develop strategic partnerships with with target industries that require advanced data management solutions and expand the company’s market presence • Establish best practices and potentially mentor new BDRs as the team grows • Contribute to the evolution of outreach and sales strategies, identifying new opportunities for improvement and innovation. Generate new business opportunities beyond initial prospecting lists

Our partner offers a direct contract as an independent contractor, with payment in USD, remote work flexibility 🏡, and US public holidays + PTO. The team operates in the EST time zone, and this is a full-time position (40 hours per week).
