👀About the role
We’re looking for a Lead Generation Assistant to support our Business Development team by building high-quality prospect lists for our outbound efforts.
This is a freelance, fully remote position where you’ll research US startups and SMBs, identify the right decision-makers, and help our team connect with companies that fit our Ideal Customer Profile.
We’re currently estimating a workload of 10–20 hours per week, although the exact allocation will depend on business needs. As this is a new role for our team, we’re also open to discussing different ways of structuring the engagement based on your experience and what has worked well for you in previous freelance roles.
Your work will have a direct impact on our growth by ensuring our Business Development team is always reaching out to the right companies at the right time.
👉 Responsibilities
- Build prospect lists based on different criteria (industry, company stage, location, hiring activity, and other custom filters).
- Prioritize prospects based on our Ideal Customer Profile (ICP) and internal qualification criteria.
- Research companies to understand their business, growth stage, hiring needs, and identify the most relevant decision-makers to contact.
- Use different research tools and sources such as LinkedIn Sales Navigator, company websites, job boards, hiring pages, and other platforms to identify qualified leads.
- Keep prospect data organized, accurate, and up to date while maintaining consistent data quality across all lists.
- Follow internal guidelines and processes to ensure list quality and consistency.
👉 Requirements
- Previous experience in lead generation, prospect research, recruitment sourcing, sales operations, or a similar research-focused role.
- Experience building prospect lists for outbound sales or business development teams targeting the US market. Experience working with startups or recruitment is a plus.
- Familiarity with LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Apollo, job boards, Google, and other research tools.
- Strong research skills and a detective mindset🕵️♀️, with the ability to go beyond the obvious and uncover hard-to-find information.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills to work independently
- Comfortable working with spreadsheets and keeping data clean, accurate, and up to date.
- Good written English, as most of the research, tools, and company information are in English and focused on the US market.
