👀About the role

We are looking for a hands-on Application Support Specialist to join our client’s team.

In this role, you will act as the first line of support for a portfolio of internal applications, investigating issues, resolving incidents, and ensuring the stability of environments ranging from development to production. You’ll work closely with software engineers, troubleshoot database and infrastructure-related issues, and help maintain the reliability of business-critical systems.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving, has strong SQL and Linux skills, and wants to work within a collaborative international team.

👉 Responsibilities

  • Receive, investigate, and resolve incidents and service requests raised by internal software teams.
  • Monitor and maintain multiple environments, including production, staging, and development.
  • Diagnose issues at the database and infrastructure layers using SQL queries and Linux command-line tools.
  • Document incidents, root causes, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions within the ticketing system.
  • Collaborate with software engineers to escalate complex issues and drive them to resolution.
  • Identify recurring problems and recommend preventive measures or automation opportunities.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and scheduled maintenance activities when required.
  • Provide clear and concise status updates, documentation, and stakeholder communications in English.

👉 Requirements

Technical Skills

  • Strong SQL skills, including writing queries, troubleshooting data issues, and working with relational databases.
  • Solid Linux knowledge, including log analysis, system navigation, diagnostic commands, and basic shell scripting.
  • General understanding of computer science fundamentals.
  • Familiarity with ticketing systems and support workflows.
  • High-level understanding of databases, networking concepts, backend systems, and frontend technologies.
  • Experience with Git version control is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree (BSc.) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field is valued but not mandatory.

English

English is the working language of the team. All meetings, documentation, stakeholder communication, and reporting are conducted in English. You will report directly to an international manager and collaborate with colleagues across different countries.
